VOICE

“VOICE” writing competition celebrates the voices of unique writers. Submit pieces that highlight yourself or your perspectives unapologetically: whether you’re submitting original and creative works presenting your artistic voice, or showcasing an academic paper arguing against conventional thoughts. Write about what deeply resonates with yourself, or convey your perspectives on the vast world. Show us your inner child, and never look back. Make us laugh, cry, think or anywhere in between.

“VOICE” is the largest literature-organization hosted writing competition of the year, hosted by 7 organizations. By submitting to “VOICE”, you not only become viable for placement and our cash awards of $200 but you are also automatically considered to be featured to in over 6 published magazines.

Entry

Submit works of fiction, non-fiction, or poetry to compete for distinction and grand awards. 

Fill out the submission that takes less than 10 minutes of your time: VOICE is an excellent competition to place or receive awards & distinction, a cash prize, and is an ultimate platform for you to also become a published writer in over 6 magazines. 

We want to feature unique artistic voices from aspiring writers, thinkers, and explorers. Submit and compete today via Google Forms.

Awards

  • 1st place: $200 USD
  • 2nd place: $100 USD
  • 3rd place: $50 USD
  • Distinction: All writers who have placed or receive distinction are viable to be featured in over 6 magazines. 

Contest Guidelines

  • There is has NO ENTRY FEE
  • All work MUST be completely original without plagiarism or AI.
  • We do not take simultaneous submissions, or previously published works. 
  • Submit your portfolio as a PDF document, named “FirstName-LastName-VOICE”
  • Please keep in mind, the more pieces of writing you submit in your portfolio, the better idea we have of your artistic merit. 
  • Submissions Close: January 12, 2025, 11:59PDT. 
  • Results will be announced by the end of February, 2025. 

Judging Process

You will be placed according to the portfolio of all the pieces you send in, instead of each standalone piece. 

Our judges will be evaluating your portfolio on the following criteria:

  • Individuality: How does your artistic or persuasive voice stand out? 
  • Creativity: Does your piece offer a fresh point of view? 
  • Impact:
    • Fiction & Poetry: Does your writing evoke specific images, emotions, or resonate with the reader? 
    • Non-fiction: Does your writing persuade, engage, and evoking thoughtful consideration in the reader?
  • Polish: Is the writing refined, eloquent, and free of errors?
